St. Simons Marsh

395.00

This painting is inspired by a trip my daughter and I took to St Simons Island while staying in Savannah Ga which is one of our favorite places to be since we are only 3 hours away from Savannah.

St. Simons is an island off the Georgia coast. It’s known for its salt marshes and sandy stretches like East Beach. A museum traces the history of St. Simons Lighthouse, rebuilt in 1872 after it was destroyed in the Civil War. Anglers fish off nearby St. Simons Pier, which offers views of Jekyll Island and migrating whales. North, boats travel to Little St. Simons Island, home to birds like spoonbills and gannets.

This painting is a mix media piece, using maps from St Simon throughout this piece.

Size 24x24 gallery wrapped painted on all sides and ready to hang or frame.
