About the painting:

I'm excited to share the following series of paintings I had worked on the last month titled "Looking Up to Heaven",  they are inspired by my seeking Gods face when I look up to the heavens. I have been experiencing a great deal of pain from my injury from a fall in 2012, I can't believe sometimes it has been that long because the pain feels like I just experienced it all over again, so this is a very real pain that takes me down to my knees and the quest for finding the right therapies and treatment have been exhausting both physically and emotionally.   So when I just cannot find answers and relief I look up to sky to feel the warmth from the sun, and I'm reminded on how big the  clouds appear and how wondrous heaven must be.  I realize how small I am compared to the clouds and heavens above me are and my problems, because God is so much bigger than my problems.  The paintings which follow expresses how I feel along with scriptures which inspired the paintings.

Scripture Theme for Looking up to the heavens series is Job 35:5 look at the heavens and see; and behold the clouds-they are higher than you.

Have you ever noticed how sunflowers tend to go towards the sun is, always reaching and searching for that warmth of the sun so they can continue to grow and showcase their beauty.  I always think of them as looking up in prayer in gratitude for another day.   I do, I look up up up ever so thankful for the beautiful mercies and grace extended to me in my day and ever so hopeful for better days.
